Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Brief Description

A creamy and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender chicken breast in a rich Alfredo sauce made with Parmesan cheese and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and slice into strips.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
  7. Add the cooked fettuccine and chicken strips to the skillet, tossing to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
  8. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Chef’s Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Add steamed broccoli or spinach for extra vegetables.

Additional Tips

Cook the pasta al dente, as it will continue to cook slightly when mixed with the hot Alfredo sauce.
