Shrimp Scampi with Linguine
Brief Description

Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
- Red pepper flakes for garnish (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Cook the linguine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour the white wine or chicken broth into the skillet, stirring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Remove from heat.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the shrimp and sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, lemon wedges, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot.
